Red Dirt Poetry is a community poetry group based in Oklahoma City that welcomes poets of all ages and skill levels.
RDP has had different names through the years. It has been known in the past as the "Home for Wayward Poets" and "Metro Poets". Our open mic has also migrated around the city, but it started in the Paseo, and we are glad to be back where it all began.
We don't take money from our community; all of our events are free to attend!
Our audience is inclusive, and we take measures to protect that.
We believe in a healthy, thriving poetry community is good for all, so we support all kinds of poetry events–not just our own.
